Birmingham can proudly boast one of the most vibrant nightlifes in the UK. The city reportedly has the youngest population in Europe and as a result it is no surprise that there is always a top class night out, for those seek it.

For the thirsty, there are numerous cafés, pubs and bars in and around the city centre. Broad Street, Brindley Place and Mailbox are popular areas with students/young professionals all have lots of places to eat and drink beside the canals. Rumour has it that there are 200 pubs within a one-mile radius of the city center. Numerous pre-club bars are also open late, as you would expect from a top-class entertainment city like Birmingham.

Birmingham is bursting with clubs playing anything from dance, house, drum and bass and jungle, to hard rock, 70s, 80s, lounge, soul, jazz and garage.

However Birmingham is so much more than a noisy student paradise. The city also boasts hundreds of traditional pubs serving traditional drinks.

For real ale drinkers, Birmingham is going through a renaissance..... Ten years ago Birmingham was not a place you would have considered for a day out drinking real ale but how things have changed.

The City Centre and Jewellery Quarter now have many good pubs which offer a range of well kept ales. There are several excellent pub crawls for the real ale drinker and the 2nd City is now becoming a destination for a good day out.
